Terms of Use
Last updated 5 November 2026
These terms apply to your use of Family Command Center, provided by Jacqueline Janse van Rensburg (Pty) Ltd (registration 2020/059790/07). By using the app you agree to them.
The service
The app helps families capture plans by voice or text and keep a shared calendar, reminders, meal plans and shopping lists. During beta testing the app is free and features may change.
Your account
You must be 18 or older to create an account. Keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for what you add, including information about other family members, and for having their permission where needed. You can invite other adults to share your household plan; children don't have accounts.
Reminders
Reminders are delivered by your phone and depend on its settings — notifications, Focus or Do Not Disturb, battery saving and the app being installed. We work hard to make reminders reliable, but we can't guarantee every reminder will be delivered, so please don't rely on the app alone for anything critical such as medication or legal deadlines.
Recipes and dietary filters
Recipes and methods are general guidance. Dietary filters are worked out from ingredient names and may not catch everything, such as hidden gluten, dairy or allergens in packaged products. Always check product labels, and take care with allergies and food safety.
Subscriptions
After beta, the app will be offered as a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices, free trials and renewals will be shown before you subscribe. Payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms, and you can manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Fair use
Don't misuse the app — for example by trying to access other households' information, interfering with the service, or using it for anything unlawful.
Our responsibility
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other South African law.
Ending your use
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Changes and law
We may update these terms and will show the new date at the top. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
